Construction and quality

MDH JSC is designed and built to the highest quality standards.It requires minimum if any maintenance. It utilises only non-corrosive materials.

• The skeleton is made of aluminium profiles.
• The voids are filled with polystyrene.
• The wetted surfaces are made of composite aluminium plates.
• The trafficable top surface blends with the surrounding environment and it may for example be non-slip Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) surface.

Innovation and advantages

The barrier is self-operated, requiring no power and no human intervention. The gate turns to upright position just before flood water reaches the protected area thereby:

·         It requires no side walls

·         It requires no threshold/ step

·         It is trafficable up to the ultimate instant

It requires little if any excavation
