5.The required size of head room and side room

  1. Make sure the top screw fixing vertical angle and vertical track is fixed at the end of the long hole, tighten all the relevant screws marked in red, keep the bottom one loose(in black) momently.

  1. Assemble bottom meter.

  1. Attach the bottom meter to vertical angle

  1. Put top meter on the vertical angle

  1. After putting bottom and top meter on vertical angle, check if A=B

  1. Lift up the frame and hold it against opening squarely.

  1.

Check the top meter by spirit level, and ensure A=B

  1. Fix the frame on the wall firstly, then remove the bottom meter away and use it as rear beam later.

  1. Put on the holder fixing top meter

  1.

Install middle bearing bracket,100mm off middle line of the opening, and next to top meter.

  1. Put on and fix spring system

  1. The steel coupler should be on the left side of door middle line

  1. Fix bearing on the side bracket and middle bracket.

  1. Put on horizontal tracks

  1. Put on double track clip and hanging bar on the horizontal track, After adjusting the tracks levelly and make sure A=B, fix the hanging bar with ceiling, bending down clip holder as the picture shown.

20‐1 This support is as choice, only need it when the headroom is high.

  1. Put on rear beam, the hooking bracket should be fixed tightly.

  1. Take off plastic film

  1. Put on end cap correctly (just in the case of end cap falling down)

  1. Fix adjustable bottom bracket and adjustable side hinge on first panel.

  1. Put on steel cable, let the screw of the bolt stay at the top position, then it can exert the function of adjusting the tightness of steel cables later.

  1. Install the first section. Center and level the first section, The door must be level even if the floor isn’t, so use shims under the section to level it. The rubber gasket on the bottom section will fill the gaps created by an unlevel floor. To hold the level in place, tape it to the section. Add brackets and rollers before setting them in place and stack one section on top of another, tighten the screws accordingly, let the panels rely on the side sealing properly.

  1. Put on the adjustable top bracket, make sure the roller is as close as possible to the panel tongue.

  1. Fix middle hinges.

  1. Put the steel cable on cable drums correctly, rotate the cable drum and let the steel cable as tight as possible, then tighten the screws of cable drum, one should go into the slot of tubular shaft.

  1. Set the tension of the torsion springs. To keep the shaft from turning while you’re adding tension, attach a locking pliers to the shaft, meanwhile make sure the steel cables are tight enough. The painted line on the spring acts as a gauge for the number of turns you put on the spring. Add 3 full turns for per meter door height and plus extra half turn in the end, E.g. the door height is 2.1m, the tightening turns should be 3X2.1+0.5=6.8, then fix the screws of the flange, before removing away the steel bar and plier, you need to check the steel cables if they are the same tightness, otherwise adjust the screws of the bottom bracket.

Check balance: After tensioning and fixing the springs, lift the door halfway, the door should hold its position. If it doesn’t, adjust the spring tension.

Apply lubricant for garage doors to the spring.

  1. Put the motor on the rear beam, For more detailed installation steps of motor, please refer motor manual.

GARAGE DOOR MAINTENANCE

To be safe while working on the door, take the following precautions:

  1. Unplug the automatic door opener so it can't be activated
  2. If the door is open while you're working, clamp a locking pliers onto the roller track below a roller to keep it from dropping.
  3. Never remove a lift cable while a door spring is under tension. If released, it'll cut like a knife.
  4. Never attempt to adjust or release the tension on an overhead torsion spring. This is a job for garage door professionals only.

1Inspect your door's hardware:

  1. Tighten the nuts and bolts:

Because your door moves, the hardware can loosen. Inspect and tighten all roller brackets and the bolts that hold the rails to the support brackets.

  1. Inspect the rollers for wear and tear:

Nylon rollers tend to crack or chip when they deteriorate, so defects should be easy to spot. On steel rollers, the bearings wear and the wheel begins to tilt. Buy replacement rollers at a hardware store and install

them by removing and reinstalling the roller bracket.

Caution: Do not remove the bottom roller bracket. The cable attached to it is under extreme tension.

  1. Inspect the lift cable for wear

Look for broken strands. Damage is most likely to occur where the cable attaches to the bottom roller bracket, where it's most exposed to moisture. Clear away the gunk from this area with an old toothbrush so you can check the condition of the cable. Since this cable is under high tension, don't try to replace it yourself. Call a garage door professional to replace it.

2Maintain springs, chains and seals:

  1. Lubricate the chain or screw

Lubricate the chain or the screw on your opener annually with white lithium grease. Spray‐on versions are available at most home centers. Lubrication will make the opener's operation smoother, quieter and extend the life of both chain and opener.

  1. Lubricate the springs

Coat the overhead torsion springs with a lubricant/ cleaner like WD‐40. Don't wipe off the excess. All springs will eventually break because of metal fatigue and/or corrosion, but this annual maintenance will prevent corrosion.

NOTE: Replacing springs is a job for a professional. If one spring breaks, both should be replaced

  1. Replace the weather seal

Replace the weather seal on the bottom of your door if it's brittle and worn.

3Steps to a safer door:

  1. Test your door

Test the balance of your door. A properly balanced door is less likely to crush someone or something and keeps your door opener from working too hard. First, disengage the opener from the door by pulling the opener release handle (see opening photo). Then lower the door about halfway. A properly balanced door will hold the halfway position without assistance. If the door rides back up, the springs are under too much tension. If it falls, the tension needs to be increased. Adjusting the spring tension is tricky and dangerous. Call a garage door professional to perform the service!

  1. Test the auto reverse feature

The door should reverse direction within two seconds after coming to a stop. If your door opener doesn't have an auto reverse feature, buy a new opener.

4Required tools and materials:

Hammer, Pliers, Screw gun, Tape measure, Wrench set

1‐in. galvanized roofing nails fender washers and locknuts lubricant/cleaner such as WD‐40 silicone spray or rubbing alcohol Spray‐on white lithium grease Weather seal

You could also possibly need replacement roller
